About

On the riverPrior to coming to Loveland High School as an assistant principal in July of 2007, I spent two years as an assistant principal at Greeley West High School. I spent the first 9 years of my professional career in the Broward County School District in South Florida serving as an assistant principal, technology coordinator, and a teacher of math, statistics, and physics.

From 2000 to 2002, I took a leave of absence from my teaching position to explore the private sector where I worked as a Data Quality Specialist for Deloitte & Touche LLP. It was a great experience to travel the country and lend my assistance and expertise to major corporations. I also learned the basics of database design and normalization, as well as how to program SAS and SQL. Eventually, though, the travel got old and I missed education. I wouldn’t have missed the opportunity to gain the business insight and experience D&T gave me, but it was time to start a family and I wanted to know my kids.

I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Colorado State University.

I have been married to my beautiful wife for 10 years. Her career as an educator is on hold while she spends her time as a mom to our wonderful son who turned 4 this summer and our daughter who turned 1 in March.

We love to go for walks and hikes and spend time outdoors. We take a lot of pictures. We plan to try snowshoeing and skiing.

I’m a fan of Lost, 24, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, and Grey’s Anatomy. I am a Mac Evangelist and though I am comfortable with Windows I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t want to use an Apple. I have an obsession with gadgets of all kinds.
