Scott, I here you. We have just finished a major ammalgamation in our province going from 82 school division to 27 or so. Our school division is made up of 6 former divisions. We are trying to get our house in order and, for the most part, are doing a good job. The division is focusing on PLC and we are working at establishing these within each school. Provincially we have Reading and Math Assessments taking shape with more to come. I agree that without some type of PD, we do have really expensive email checkers! Because it is a passion of mine, I do a bit in my class, moving away from the PPT to wikis, blogs and podcasts. It's a slow process and I'm slowing trying to expose my staff and the admin group to new ideas. As much as I'd like to be bandwagonish, reality won't let me go there. Until we get a few more things in order, that will have to wait.
